TOUR 2: HANOI – HALONG – CATBA – TRADITIONAL VILLAGE

DAY 1: Arrival Day
Pick up you at airport transfer to hotel in Old Quarter.
Free time for leisure and shopping.
DAY 2: HA NOI CITY TOUR (B/L/-)
8:00 Depart for the Ngoc Son temple, a coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarters, passing by
Dong Xuan market, then continuing to the Old Citadel. Stop for a visit to the Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda. Then on to the Quan Thanh Temple and Tran
Quoc Pagoda. Break of Lunch.
Afternoon: After lunch we will visit the Ethnology Museum, continuing on to the Literature
Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
DAY 3: HA LONG BAY – CATBA ISLAND (B/L/D)
7.30 Pick up at your hotel.
8.00 Depart for Ha Long City. Halfway there, we’ll stop for a short break.
11.30 Arrival in Ha Long City to meet the boat.
Out on the bay, you will have lunch.
13.00 Now it’s time to explore some of the Bay’s famous caves. Following a stop at the Sung
Sot Cave, which is sure to impress you with its wealth of eerily unique stalactites and
stalagmites. Then, you’ll visit the Surprising Cave, as it’s known in English, which is reputed
to be the most beautiful in the area.
16.00 Next, the boat cruises Lan Ha Bay, where you’ll unwind in the afternoon sun and enjoy
a relaxing swim in its calm waters. As the evening sets in, you’ll have the choice of spending
the night out on the idyllic waters of the bay or in very comfortable accommodations on the
boat, and for others you’ll have the option of retiring to a hotel in Cat Ba.
DAY 4: CAT BA - HALONG - HANOI (B/L/-)
7.00 Following breakfast, we depart Cat Ba Island for Ha Long City. Along the way, we make
a short stop at Van Gia Village , which features a French supported school for fishermen’s
children.
11.40 We arrive at the Ha Long Port and stop for lunch.
13.25 We depart Ha Long for Ha Noi .
16.15 We arrive in Ha Noi and drop you off at your hotel.
DAY 5: TRADITIONAL VILLAGE AROUND HANOI (B/L/-)
8:00 We pick you up at your hotel and depart for Bat Trang Pottery Village. On the way, you’ll
have a chance to see some villages located along the two banks of the Red River Dykes.
After two hours visiting Bat Trang, you’ll lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Dong Ho Folk Painting Village where you’ll be surprised by the
skillful artisans who use to natural materials to make wonderfully vibrant folk paintings. After
that you’ll visit the But Thap Pagoda, the cradle of Buddhism in Vietnam, which charms
visitors with its unique architecture and rich history.
DAY 6: DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Free time until our car picks you up at the hotel to go to the airport.
End of tour.
